The coconut originated from Asia, like many of The Good Guru’s natural finds. It has long been used in cooking and sets the bar high with its super health benefits. Its rise to stardom lately is due to the coconut being among foods classed as ‘superfoods’ because of its healing and restorative properties; essential post workout food! Coconut is antiviral, antimicrobial and antifungal (which destroys a wide variety of disease-causing organisms).

Coconut is also highly nutritious, rich in fibre, which helps with fat metabolism, aiding in weight loss. Rich in Vitamin C (essential for repair of tissue) E, B1, B2, B5 and B6, calcium for bone health, iron, magnesium and phosphorous for muscles.

We use high grade non-GMO Coconut Milk Powder within our blend. Unlike canned coconut milk, coconut milk powder retains many of its valuable micronutrients (as listed above) when it reaches you, in addition if you are also concerned about your carbon footprint the processing and transportation of coconut powder is eco-friendlier!

Why our Protein Blend?

Our Pea Protein blend has been carefully chosen to contain the Essential Amino-Acid (EAA) profile made up of pea protein, pumpkinseed protein and sunflower seed protein. The essential amino-acid profile is often known to be ‘the building blocks of protein’ and essential for building muscle (specifically from Leucine), repairing tissue and other critical process’ within our bodies. Lysine has been recognised for balancing blood sugar (glucose) levels, beneficial if you are diabetic or watching your sugar levels.

Pea Protein, some vegan protein sources have been doubted for their lack of protein to really build muscle, however pea protein is one of the best vegan sources of protein due to its high concentration including BCAA’s (Branch Chain Amino Acids). Pea protein is one of the few vegan sources known for its ease within the digestive tract, great if you suffer from digestion problems.

Pumpkin Seed Protein has as an abundance of iron ensuring your energy levels remain constant throughout the day, low iron levels can be a challenge with veganism.
