Here at the Good Guru we believe in creating completely natural products which are wholly beneficial, packed with nutrients that complement one another and do exactly what they are meant to do without compromise. We have added a blend of 3 essential, science-based ingredients into our STRESSKARE capsules.

Stress can greatly effect well-being and the way we feel. Stress is very common and it comes in many forms. Stress is more prevalent nowadays due to the pressures of daily life. Stress can come at any age from the very young to the elderly. Not coping with situations that arise in daily life, or even the everyday routine can hugely impact one’s mental health and state of mind; being able to cope with life can often just be stressful.

Here at The Good Guru we recognise how Stress impacts the day to day and we have developed a natural formula to ease those stresses.

Our formula contains three key ingredients, Rama Tulsi Powder, Ashwagandha Powder and Gotu Kola Powder. Tulsi Powder originated from India, like many of our key ingredients which we discovered on our travels. It has been used for Centuries in the Asian culture and it has many beneficial uses. It is known to some as ‘The Holy Basil’ because it has such spectacular benefits for the mind, body and soul.

One of the properties of the herb Tulsi is that it combats the stress-response. When our bodies are stressed, we release a hormone known as Cortisol. Cortisol is important to help protect us from external factors, this is known as the ‘The flight or fight response’. In a fight Cortisol protects us as our body prepares itself for defence by giving us a burst of energy. However, too much Cortisol released into our bodies can have detrimental effects to our health. It can make one hungrier than normal and lead to weight gain and adrenal problems, in turn leading to more stress and anxiety. Tulsi is a support for the stress mechanism within our bodies and helps to control and balance the effects.

As mentioned, stress can lead to other health and mental health issues such as depression and anxiety. A benefactor to Tulsi is Ashwagandha, which is a powerful herb from India which lifts the mood and spirit. Ashwagandha has been used in clinical studies for people with depression and anxiety which often stems from stress. It showed that those who took the herb on a regular basis had lower cortisol levels, in addition the wider spectrum of issues related to stress such as insomnia (sleep disorder) and social anxiety were significantly lower.

We have used the wonder herb Gotu Kola which has many properties related to relieving stress and anxiety. Insomnia is a very common problem, and as researched, insomnia can be a vicious circle, as stress and anxiety can lead to sleepless nights and vice versa. Gotu Kola contains natural chemicals which effect the blood and the brain. Gotu Kola can help with a vast array of psychiatric disorders from anxiety to Alzheimer’s and everything in between. It is used to help one think more clearly and improves memory and nerve function. Gotu Kola is also used by some to lengthen life span.
